Getting The PGCE Qualification in Spain
Posted by admin | Under accredited online universities Tuesday Jun 30, 2009If you have moved to Spain and want to live and work here you may well be stumped for a way to earn your living here. In the past most people coming to live and work in Spain have worked in TEFL but the wage rates have not really kept up with the cost of living so TEFL teachers are having to take on more and more hours to make ends meet. Another option may be to get yourself a teaching qualification and there is now a way to do this in Spain.
PGCE Spain Offers You A Teaching Qualification
If you already have a degree then maybe you could be helped by doing a PGCE course without having to go back to the UK. Learning to teach whilst still in Spain could be a great way of living here. Teachers wages start typically at 1400-1500 Euros per month and the first year of PGCE Spain candidates all got a job in Spain at the end of the course. The demand for teachers is still high here especially in international schools.
Have a look at the PGCE Spain website and start doing your teacher training course in Spain. Learning and finally earning in Spain might well be a good way of making sure you can live here and have a career too. Teaching is not going to make you into Rockerfeller but you can live a nice, comfortable life in Spain.
Most students will start in September but there is also the possibility of starting in January and April and more than 50 students will be taken in this year. Teaching experience will be given in schools based all over Spain and you will be mentored by teachers currently in the schools that participate which belong to NABBS (The National Association Of British Schools in Spain)
