Actually, getting notes online prior to your class probably won't be that helpful. Professors vary drastically in what they teach in their courses, so what one professor may concentrate heavily on another professor may ignore entirely (example: in my Criminal Law class my professor only made us learn the definition of larceny for property crimes; he didn't think anything about them was important to know). Your best bet is to check your school's website. Many times student organizations will post old outlines written by students who took that class and professor. That gives you the best chance of actually getting the relevant material. I know my school (U of Pitt) posts them on the Women's Law Society's website.

Your best (and sometimes most essential) bet is to buy supplements from your school's bookstore. They're pricy (I usually budget an additional $200 per semester for them), but they can really save you. If you have a bad professor, they might actually be necessary to your understanding. A good book for a basic overview is Crunchtime; it gives an outline of the major topics, flow charts, and exam tips. I use these every semester to begin constructing my outlines for finals, and they're great for clarification. They usually run about $30-$35 per subject.

Some professors will also recommend supplements that follow closely with their curriculum (my Legal Process professor recommended Glannon's Guide, and it saved my life).

The best way to be prepared for class is to do the reading every night, and to make an outline of what you read. That way, all the information is at your fingertips in class and you're prepping for finals gradually, versus cramming in making your outlines in the last weeks. It's time-consuming, but totally worth the aggravation you save during exams.

Do you smoke? If yes give up! if you can’t give up change to rolling tobacco $30 per week saving to average smoker $70 saving if you quit.

How many times do you stop on the way home, to work, from school, to school, at the local convenience store, to get that loaf of bread or carton of milk? $10 per week saving. Carry out a weekly shop and stick to it. Buy in bulk for bigger savings, and they deliver in most cases. Do you only buy name brand goods i.e. no savings or plain brands, gain you are not to good for this, and with most products their is little difference.

How many times do you drive where you could of walked? Do you own a bicycle. I do as it keeps me sort of fit and gives me time to enjoy the sites of summer. It also gives quality time with your partner and children.

Cut out coupons. No you are not above that, or you wouldn’t need to. Greet your snail mail spam as ways to save a few more dollars. Companies send out millions of dollars worth of free and discounted product every day.

What are you good at? What can you give to people you know? i.e you are a computer tech? have you considered starting a little side concern? Every extra dollar helps.

Offer to do your neighbors lawns for a few dollars better yet send the eldest son/daughter around to do it, and split the profits.

Hold a garage sale. You could have thousands of dollars of things you don’t need any more.

Sell the second car. Yes I am serious. That money alone put into only one program would earn you more than you are currently earning at work. A car valued at $5000 gives nearly $100 per week to invest into a second income stream for a period of 12 months.

What goals in life do you have? For life with no goals is football with no goal posts, pointless! Unless you have achievable goals and a concise plan and image of where you are going and how you are going to get there? Successful people set many goals, financial, personal, family, spiritual. I can not stress the importance enough of goal setting.

Do you give your children pocket money or do you teach them the value of money? I was fortunate enough to have a privileged up bringing but with that said, I was not spoilt. There is much education you never learn at school, most will never hear the teachings that keep generations of privileged family’s just that for generation after generation. What the whole marketing world tell you to buy, will always be a lie! The first attitude i will change on you, is to take your thinking above the hype and noise.

Because a degree isn’t required to get into the business due to the nature of the recruitment field ( most prospective P.I.’s come from other qualified careers ), educational qualifications aren’t as mandatory as they are in other work related fields.

This is the only JD with what may (or may not) be regional accreditation. You are correct that there are no online programs accredited by ABA – the ABA doesn't allow full or substantial online delivery. Yet…

You should personally check the accreditation and CalBar status of any that you're interested in. Don't use my list above as an endorsement of any of these – I simply know they exist and not whether they're any good.

In order for you to qualify with the Certified Legal Assistant Examination (CLEA) so you can eventually be licensed by the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), make sure that what you will be taking up is an ABA approved paralegal program. Athens Technical College classes are both in the morning and evening. Burlington County College
Located in New Jersey, Burlington County College is among those that provide ABA paralegal program. They have an Associate of Applied Science program that will prepare their students to become efficient legal assistants.
Burlington County College also gives its students the chance to shift to the Bachelors degree even in the semester of graduation. It requires the completion of about twelve law- related, two business and seven general education subjects. Provided during evening time, each are taught by practicing attorneys and licensed paralegals.

Cerritos Community College
Located in California, Cerritos Community College is among those that provide ABA program. They require a minimum time of two years to finish their program.
Cerritos Community College is just twenty minutes away from Los Angeles and Orange County. They have a strong internship program with about thirty- five locations that accept their students be it in law firms, local courts and aid offices. Their two full- time faculty members are legitimate attorneys that have an experience not just in the United States but also abroad.

Denver Career College
Located in Colorado, Denver Career College is among those that provide ABA program. It is a private and proprietary school that offers a Post- degree Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Their internship is mandatory which will be able to equip their students with what awaits them outside the four walls of the academe.
Denver Career College was founded in 1977 and received the endorsement of the American Bar Association two years after. Their day program can be finished in about six months which consists of the practicum outside with an evening module in eleven months. They also grant assistance projects for their graduates so they can find an initial occupation.
