Tuesday Jan 13, 2009

I am looking to find and take some online workshops/seminars. I am looking for different aspects of customer service, business, and Marketing/Advertising.
I have found a website www.mindleaders.com which seems insightful but only has the customer service side of things.
Anyone know of any others of tried any of these online courses?

Would an online course about search engine/Internet advertising be a good business idea?

How much should I charge for it?

not at all. It's been done a million times already since 1998. Use your brain to make money doing something else.

Make Sure Your Internet Business is Selling online to a Niche Market

Saturday Jan 10, 2009

http://trafficcoleman.com/google.htm
I often get emails from people who are

http://trafficcoleman.com/google.htm

psyched to get started online, and have a KILLER product idea they want to base their business on.

Their emails go something like this…

Hi Derek, thanks for all your advice! I know with your help I can make great money online. I want to sell [INSERT PRODUCT IDEA HERE] because it’s my passion — any suggestions on what to do first???

Sure. Here’s a suggestion:

FORGET ABOUT YOUR PRODUCT IDEA.

Seriously. Wipe it right out of your head.

Now, I’m not saying that product idea is going to doom your business to failure.

But what I AM saying is this:

When it comes to Internet marketing, it’s not WHAT you sell that counts — it’s WHO you sell it to!

If you don’t take the steps necessary to make 100% sure there is an easily reachable market of people online who WANT TO BUY something you can sell them, then there’s a strong chance you’re building your business on QUICKSAND.

That’s why in all of our programs and courses, the first thing we always, ALWAYS urge you to do is…

MAKE SURE YOU’RE SELLING TO A NICHE MARKET WITH
REAL PROFIT POTENTIAL!!!

By “niche market,” I simply mean, a group of people who have a certain problem, and are ACTIVELY looking for a solution online without much luck.

(And of course, they must be willing to pay good money for that solution!)

If you can provide that group of people with a product or service that solves their problem, then your business has a good chance of making money.

how do I start my own online business?

Friday Jan 9, 2009

I want to start my own business and I have no idea where to start.

I would like to lingerie, sexy outfits and costumes during Halloween. I like the idea of having my own website to myself, but I dont know about cost or how to run it.

The purpose of my business would be of course, profit, but also because I think it would be a great job to have and well, whats better than being your own boss.

please give me your input! thank you. :-)
i was thinking of taking my time at first and hopfully having the foundation of the site up and running by january.

I'd recommend you start by running your business as an affiliate marketer, here's a few places you could explore:

http://www.shareasale.com/shareasale.cfm?merchantID=2370

http://www.wickedtemptations.com/affiliate-program.html

http://www.fredericks.com/services/help.asp?174

That will give you a few ideas of programs that could be available.

You can make 20% of the purchase price and more with some of these programs.

I don't sell that type of products, but I do make some really nice extra cash by doing affiliate marketing.

I learned most of what I know from Rosalind Gardner's book, and a couple of others. You can read more about her book on my blog at http://www.reviewthefacts.com/wordpress

NOTE to Fuchi Fuchi Fea Fea: I tried to reply, but your email is not verified, so I cannot reply.

Any courses that can lead to a job online?

Wednesday Jan 7, 2009

I wanted to take some courses online that can lead to me getting a job that I can work from home online. I dont want to be doing surveys-.- I want to really be able to help a business online where im actually useful. Im pretty good with computers i just dont know what i need to learn to get a job. thanks

When you're looking at working from home there's basically two choices. You'll either be working for a company, or working for yourself. I'm not sure how you'd work for a normal company from home but I'm sure most people working online work for themselves anyway.

I've been a work at home mom for 3 years and believe me if you wanna work at home it's gonna take some hard work and a lot of research.

Finding a legitimate way to work at home isn't hard. There's plenty of places you can pay for the information (even though there's a lot of scam sites too) One of the really hard things about working at home is staying focused. You'd be surprised how hard it is to just sit down and work at home infront of your computer for hours on end. There's some days I hardly make $50 because I just can't focus and other days if I'm having a really good day and working hard I'll make as much as $300. Like anything in life, you get what you put into it.

Remember, look at what other people are doing. Some of the more legit things are things like ebay that aren't that hard to do. (Just finding a good drop shipper is one of the main parts)

Interested in online courses/others experiences?

Monday Jan 5, 2009

I'm interested in taking online classes in Business and Computers and would like to know what others experiences are in online schooling.

Just like regular classes, you have good and bad teachers. Most online classes require a lot of discussion on message boards and if you have a good teacher, they will ask good questions or aid in keeping the discussions interesting as well as providing a learning experience.

You also have to be disciplined…when you go to an actual class room, you usually have homework and assignments due that day. Online, you still have due dates to meet, but no class room time to "push" you to get homeword done. You will be at home doing this work, which can make it harder for some people because of distractions (kids, TV, etc..)
