Can anyone recommend some accredited universitys that offer online degree programs in IT?

Tuesday Jan 13, 2009

In my opinion to approach online colleges the same way you would approach any school decision and look at a number of schools to determine the right fit for you. I would do a search for accredited online information technology degree programs and contact a bunch of the schools you find to see which is the best fit for you. Here is the first site that popped up for me:

What are the pros and cons for getting an online degree and are they all accredited ?

Sunday Jan 11, 2009

Is a BA recognized if it is through an online school ?Is Phoenix really the "pioneer" of online courses ; and why would Phoenix register you in "AXIA" ( a JR. college ) when you apply to Phoenix ?

I would regard online universities as the absolute last resort for someone seeking higher education.

The quality of education these programs offer is minimal – there is simply no substitute for the kind of dynamic interactions and discussions that commonly occur in face-to-face college courses. Also, the quality of educator is significantly less at online universities – the best faculty choose to teach at real colleges and universities. Both the pay and work environments are far superior to online universities. So, for great classes from great instructors, go to a real college or university.

Also, because of the minimal training they offer, employers and graduate institutions place little value in degrees earned from online programs. Many of these programs lack even basic accreditation for the degree programs they offer.

Bottom line – you will receive little if any personal or professional benefit from online universities relative to what you could have received from a real college or university.

Who knows of an accredited online program for an associates degree for RHIT?

Friday Jan 9, 2009

RHIT is Registered Health Information Tech….I am currently enrolled at a University where I attend part time. For various reasons, I need to go back to working full time but want to continue my education. I am looking for a University where I can do all my schooling on line. Can anyone reccomend some, or lead me into how I would go about finding one rather quickly?

Thanks.

Here are some great online schools with health care programs. You'll probably be able to find the specific RHIT program that you're looking for:

Accredited online education masters degree program for Texas?

Monday Jan 5, 2009

I'm trying to find an online school that offers a masters in education program that would be recognized and accepted while I'm teaching in Texas. Anybody that teaches in Texas get a masters degree online, that their district recognized and can share what site and program they went through?
So far no teachers from Texas have been able to help me answer my questions. I really don't want either of these first two answers to get any points, because they are so what I was hoping not to get. Obviously I'm aware there are many online colleges available, any dummy with a search engine could find that out, but accreditation varies by state so if you don't know specifics please don't waste your time.

May be this site can help you

Are there any accredited online schools for Associates degree to become an RN?

Saturday Jan 3, 2009

I don’t know if you can do the whole thing on-line and rather suspect that you cannot. But, there was a correspondance school named the New York Board of Regents or something similar that offered a number of accredited courses both for getting an RN and for the required continuation courses. The remaining problem however is whether or not your state will accept a particular school’s correspondance or on-line credits. Then, it remains to be seen if your local schools will accpet them; and if so, as elective or core requirement credits.

If you plan to do an on-line or correspondance program, you might want to check in with the schools in your area to see what if any credits they will accept and from which schools. Increasingly, a number of state schools offer and accecpt a number of correspondance and on0line courses themselves. Sometimes, not every state college/university or CC will offer a wide selection of courses but, another state school will offer some that the nearest one to you does not; in turn, they will accept credits from the school that does offer the correspondance or on-line courses. The primary stumbling block is in getting laboratory and/or practicum course work done through some type of a distance learning program. Often, RN programs are heavy in acutal laboratory and practicum courses.
