I want to be in Music industry either producing , being manger or owing my own record company. Any good Colleges ??
If you want to produce music then the best place to go is FullSail. And if you want to own your own record company then you can go to any college and get a business degree. FullSail only takes two years to complete, so you could work as a producer first and if you still want to own a company then you could go get a business degree.

Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Tuesday Dec 30, 2008I’m a high school senior and I have yet to find a quality college or university that would fit my majors. Your inquires would be helpful…Thanks.
Manhattanville College in NY offers a degree in music management. Plus, since it is only like a 20-30 min. train ride from NYC, its a great location to study it- You could definalty get some cool internships and stuff.

Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Tuesday Dec 30, 2008How can I efficiently learn about the business of online advertising for a health Web site I am developing?
Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Tuesday Dec 30, 2008I have a marketing background, so don't need a general marketing course. I need to know the products, language, terms, metrics, etc… of online advertising in 2007. For example, what categories of advertising "products" exist? What kinds of fees can be charged, how are fees determined (I know based on traffic, clicks, but more specifically…?) How is Web advertising marketed/sold to advertisers, particularly in the health and medicine arena. I want a primer on the subject, but would also like to see some quantitative examples relevant to the business in 2007. A "Dummys" book would be a good start, but an up-to-date one doesn't exist. Maybe there are 1-2 day courses. I found one via a Google search, but maybe someone out there has a recommendation. I'm not too worried about cost, as long as I can get up the learning curve quickly. Many thanks to all who will answer!
Try this site:
searchenginewatch.com
That's a good place to start, so you won't make any mistakes when first making your web site.
There's lots of ways to advertise your site, from paying to asking for reciprocal links for free…but watch out for the "link farms" where you can sign up for reciprocal links and they take yours…google will not be happy.
Don't pay for search engine submission…do it yourself to only three search engines: yahoo, google and msn. All the little search engines will crawl the big guys with time. With google it may take up to six months before they recognize your site…so when you get your site, enter it into google.
Make sure your keywords match your content on each page you have on your site. meta keywords.
I've also found htmlgoodies real helpful to make yourself a site. Don't go for the "What you see is what you get" Template sites: wysiwyg If too many people have that same templet, google thinks of your site as being "spam" site.
Hmmm…well that's enough for today…you've got lots to learn.
Wish you the best.
Is a management/business studies degree reputable?
Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Tuesday Dec 30, 2008Im applying for university at the moment and Im worried that management or business degrees arent well looked upon. I achieved 3 As for AS level in geography, spanish and economics, I really dont want to sell myself short and end up in a ditch with a rubbish degree and no prospects!! What do u think? Is it a useful degree?
well whether its useful or respectable are two separate questions.
i think that it can be extremely useful. prob make you some good money too. as for its prestige, i have never respected a business major. i think its a stupid subject and its easy. so those are two separate issues.
my major is opposite. it has high prestige. because everyone knows philosophy is hard. it requires difficult readings, concepts, and lots of clear and rigorous argumentation using formal logic
is it useful to sit around an contemplate the nature of reality and of morals? ….. i'll see you at Starbucks! do you want whipped cream on top?
