I am looking at majoring in Economics, and minoring in Business.
What are top colleges for Economics? I don't really care where in the country… I just don't want to go to HUGE cities, like LA.
But I'll take any help I can get!
Thanks.
Everyone always forgets this but the best Econ department in the country is at the University of Chicago! Other top 10's include Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, Michigan, and USC…..
Mostly, be sure you feel comfortable with the program you are in. Check out the professors and what they are researching and their interests because this will help you know if someone there is interested in what you are.

I have my associates in business from a community college (not online) but want to do my last 2 yrs for my bachelors online. Do employers in the business field see this as a weakness or strength?
On the negative side, it would be viewed as a lower quality of education as compared to a traditional college.
It could be viewed positively, depending on what you're doing while you're taking on-line courses. If you're getting the degree on-line because you're also working, that shows initiative and drive

I'm not necessarily looking for the best overall school like berkeley or stanford, but maybe there are other schools with great engineering programs that I don't know about. Thanks!
San Francisco State University has a small engineering program. If you like the kind of atmosphere where there are small classes and where the professors and students get to know each other personnally, you might consider this school. The plus side is also that you will be in San Francisco where all the culture and entertainment is.
Engineering at San Jose State University is a bigger program more similar to Berkeley or Stanford. But they have a very good program.
I am not sure if UC Davis has a graduate program. This school is located about a 90-minute drive from San Francisco. This is in a rural setting.
Santa Clara University has a good program. This is a fairly large school located near Stanford and San Jose.
Santa Clara and San Jose, being located in the Silicon Valley area, get a lot of grants from the high tech companies.

My friend and I are both college students with low incomes. With college, we don't have time to get a part time job so we started to talk about ways that we could make a little extra money to help out. We came up with the idea of making an website for an online business. We love photography and crafts so we thought about selling leather crafts such as belts and wallets and photographs of country landscapes in customized frames. Any advice on how to start this sort of business? What would be the best host to start a website with?(We need something very affordable) Would we need to get a business license? How would be go about sending out orders? Would we wait til we got the money or check before shipping the orders out? Please help us get started on this so that we can have some extra money to spend on supplies for the next semester and next year. Thanks!
The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:
Online Business For Dummies, 4th Edition by Greg Holden
* How to Start and Maintain A Successful Online Business by Kelly Thornton
* The Complete E-Commerce Book: Design, Build, and Maintain a Successful Web-Based Business by Janice Reynolds
There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Can I get, specifally, a Business Degree?
It offers a lot of liberal arts interpretation degrees in business, science, computer sciences, and the written communication methods such as journalism. It has a number of certificate programs too according to the 2006-2007 program listings. The courses are available online in the form of distance learning. According to the Dean's message, it has been around for 25 years. Most of all, it is part of Harvard University.
