does anyone know any colleges in Pennsylvania that offer music business as a major? preferably the philadelphia area it would really help me out a lot thank you
Well from the quick search I just did it is not a common major. I did find Millersville University has a Music Business and Technologies major. Millersville isn’t in the Philadelphia area, it is in Lancaster, so more south central PA. Drexel University, which is in Philly has a music industry degree, which covers music business. That was all I was able to find, but I hope it helps. I included the links to both the school music programs.

Has anyone done an online course in business or similar?
Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Sunday Nov 30, 2008Which site did you use? Is the qualification recognised? I don’t have a great deal of money but want more education, it seems working full time but on an income of less than 12000 doesn’t get you much help financially so i need a reasonable price. Thanks
There are tons of online programs. I personally attended American Intercontinental Univ. and Capella University, and I have taught for various online schools over the last five years. All are accredited and solid programs. Online courses tend to vary in price, so we could say they are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies.
The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am close to finishing my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later.
You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!
what are the highesst paying jobs for someone with a business management degree?
Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Sunday Nov 30, 2008I'll be graduating in December with my bachelor's in business management. What type of jobs are the highest paying? Is there really anything in the federal government that I can focus on?
The Answer Queen is right. The only truly high-paying occupation is self-employment. Any job you get, you should be thinking about how it can be a stepping stone toward that goal of going into business for yourself. Government jobs tend to be lower-paying than industry, and dead-end to boot.
In the meantime, doesn't your college have a career placement service??
